# Documentation

Everything the StreamPulse extension does, setting by setting: from installation to alerts, automatic rewards and privacy.

# Get started

## Install the extension

On Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi, install StreamPulse from the Chrome Web Store. On Firefox 128 or newer, use addons.mozilla.org. Safari and mobile browsers are not supported.

- [Twitch extension for viewers](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-extension)
- [Kick extension](https://streampulse.tech/kick-extension)

## Add your first streamer

Click the StreamPulse icon in the toolbar, type a Twitch, Kick or YouTube username, or paste the channel address. There is no account to create and no import of your follows: you build the list by hand. To add several at once, use bulk add.

## Understand the window

The extension window brings together the Streamers, History, Drops and Badges (beta) tabs, plus settings. The Streamers tab answers one question: who is live right now.

# Follow your streamers

## The dashboard

Live channels come first, with their viewer count, category and how long they have been live. You pick the sort order, filter by platform and reorder the list by drag and drop.

- [Unified Twitch, Kick and YouTube dashboard](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-kick-dashboard)

## Twitch, Kick and YouTube

Twitch and Kick get everything: alerts, channel points, player tools and chat filters. YouTube is limited to live alerts and watch time, with no channel points, no Drops and no player tools.

## Hover previews

Hover a channel on Twitch or Kick to see a preview of the stream, as an image or a video. You choose where they appear (directory, sidebar, clips, search), their size, the sound and the delay before they show.

## Favorites inside Twitch

Your StreamPulse favorites appear in the Twitch sidebar above the channels you follow, with their live status. A star on each channel pins or removes it, and an “Add to StreamPulse” button appears on every channel page.

# Alerts

## Live alert

When a streamer on your list goes live, the browser shows a system notification, and the icon badge tracks how many channels are live. This alert is on by default.

- [Twitch, Kick and YouTube live notifications](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-kick-live-notifications)

## Other kinds of alert

You can also be told about a title or category change and about a raid. These alerts are off by default: each one is switched on in settings. Alerts for ready Drops and new badges are part of StreamPulse+.

## Sound and quiet hours

One general sound goes with notifications, and each type of alert can have its own. Quiet hours mute alerts over a time range, for example from 23:00 to 08:00, midnight included. They are off by default.

## Live history

The History tab keeps your streamers' finished lives for 14 days, so you can catch up on the ones you missed. Sessions shorter than 5 minutes are not kept.

# Automatic rewards

## Channel points

StreamPulse clicks the bonus chest that Twitch displays for you, in an open Twitch tab, in the foreground or the background. With no Twitch tab open, nothing is claimed. Points earned on Kick are counted too.

- [Auto-claim Twitch channel points](https://streampulse.tech/auto-claim-twitch-channel-points)

## Drops

The Drops tab, which is free, lists campaigns and your Drops progress. Automatic claiming of ready Drops is part of StreamPulse+: it checks about every 10 minutes, with a running browser and a valid Twitch session, and needs no open Twitch tab.

- [Auto Claim Twitch Drops & Points](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-drops-auto-claim)

## Badges (beta)

The Badges tab (beta) follows the free badges in Twitch's catalog. New-badge alerts and the automatic mode, which claims them for you, are part of StreamPulse+.

# Player

## Anti-pause

The stream keeps playing when you switch tabs, and the browser does not put the Twitch tab to sleep. You can also keep your chosen quality when the tab goes to the background.

## Reload after an error

If the Twitch player crashes with a #1000, #2000 or #3000 error, StreamPulse reloads the player on its own. This setting is on by default.

- [Auto-Refresh Twitch](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-auto-refresh)
- [Twitch error 2000: how to fix it](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-error-2000-fix)

## Quality and volume

Set the player quality (auto, source, 1440p, 1080p, 720p, 480p or 360p) and boost the volume from 100% to 300% when a streamer speaks too quietly.

## Latency indicator

An indicator shows how far behind live you are, under the player next to the viewer count or in the chat header, as you prefer. A fast-forward button lets you catch up with the live.

- [Twitch low latency mode](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-low-latency)

## Buttons and small extras

A picture-in-picture button, a floating window for predictions, the streamer's avatar and a LIVE dot on the tab icon. Hiding Twitch extensions also exists, off by default, and clip download is part of StreamPulse+.

# Chat and raids

## Chat filters

Hide messages that contain certain keywords or come from specific usernames. Filters work in Twitch and Kick chat.

- [Filter Twitch chat](https://streampulse.tech/filter-twitch-chat)

## Raids

StreamPulse can warn you about a raid and automatically cancel the ones that would pull you away from the channel you are watching. Background raid detection exists in beta: it keeps an anonymous connection open, so you have to switch it on yourself.

# Watch time

## Watch-time tracking

The extension counts the time you spend on each channel. Tracking stays in your browser and can be switched off in settings, just like the tracking of points and Drops received.

## Shareable recap

Generate a recap image of your last 7 days, last 30 days or a specific month, in 16:9 or 9:16 for social networks. You choose which platforms are counted: YouTube is unchecked by default.

# Settings and data

## Default settings

Each module is switched on or off separately. Here is the starting state of the ones people look for most.

| Setting | State |
| --- | --- |
| Live notifications | On |
| Notification sound | On |
| Automatic channel points | On |
| Reload after an error | On |
| Anti-pause | On |
| Picture-in-picture button | On |
| Hover previews | On |
| Watch-time tracking | On |
| Title and category alerts | Off |
| Raid alerts | Off |
| Raid cancelling | Off |
| Quiet hours | Off |
| Hiding Twitch extensions | Off |
| Sync between devices | Off |
| Community badge | Off |

## Language and theme

The interface comes in 13 languages, including Arabic and Ukrainian. On install, StreamPulse takes your browser's language, otherwise English. The dark theme is the default, and a light theme is available.

## Sync and backup

Syncing between devices goes through your browser account and is optional: without it, nothing leaves the device. You can also back up your list and settings, then restore them. The StreamPulse+ license is not included.

# StreamPulse+

## What StreamPulse+ includes

Animated effects on your name and badges in Twitch chat, visible to other StreamPulse users, automatic claiming of ready Drops, Drops and badge alerts, the automatic badge mode, smart alerts and clip download. Everything else in this documentation stays free.

- [StreamPulse+](https://streampulse.tech/plus)

## Smart alerts

For each streamer, you create rules that replace the “goes live” alert: games, title keywords and a minimum viewer count. You are only notified when the stream matches.

- [StreamPulse+](https://streampulse.tech/plus)

# Privacy

## Where your data goes

No account, no trackers. Your streamers, settings and watch time stay in the browser's local storage. Checking the Plus license sends the key and the device ID to the server, at most once a day.

- [Privacy](https://streampulse.tech/privacy)

## Community badge

This optional badge, off by default, shows other users that you have StreamPulse. Once switched on, a hash of your Twitch username, never the username itself, is sent to the server at most once a day.

# Troubleshooting

## Nothing gets claimed

Check that a Twitch tab is open and that you are signed in there, that the channel points module is on, and that the chest actually shows up in the player. The extension clicks what Twitch displays: it cannot do anything when Twitch shows nothing. For Drops, automatic claiming needs StreamPulse+.

- [Auto-claim Twitch channel points](https://streampulse.tech/auto-claim-twitch-channel-points)
- [Auto Claim Twitch Drops & Points](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-drops-auto-claim)

## No notification

Check that the browser is allowed to send notifications in your system settings, that the alert in question is switched on, and that quiet hours do not cover the current time.

- [Twitch, Kick and YouTube live notifications](https://streampulse.tech/twitch-kick-live-notifications)

## Still stuck

Write to us from the support page, with your browser, the page involved and what happened.
