Where owo comes from
owo began as a text emoticon: the two o are wide, curious eyes and the w is a cat-like mouth, in the style of anime expressions. Alongside its cousin uwu, it spread through forums, Discord and then live chat as shorthand for acting cute or playfully mischievous. This 7TV version draws that face on a small blushing frog.
