When to use Peepo
Typed alone, "peepo" usually points to the character itself rather than one exact emote.
- frogsonly is us, small and confused
- chatlurker little dancing in the corner of the stream
- nightowl_7 energy today, no thoughts just vibes
Where Peepo comes from
Peepo descends from Apu Apustaja, a naive, childlike spin-off of Pepe the Frog that appeared on Finnish imageboards in the mid-2010s before spreading to 4chan and then Twitch. Rounder and cuter than Pepe, the character became a family of its own: peepoHappy, peepoSad, peepoLove, POGGERS and many more. Seeing a peepo emote in chat usually means the moment is wholesome, silly or gently sad, never aggressive.
