Where Pog comes from
The word comes from PogChamp, a legacy Twitch emote showing the surprised face of fighting-game personality Ryan "Gooteeks" Gutierrez, taken from a blooper of the Cross Counter show. Twitch retired PogChamp in January 2021, but "pog" had already become everyday chat vocabulary for anything exciting. This 7TV version keeps the idea with a close-up of an overjoyed face.
