Where RIPBOZO comes from
The phrase comes from American slang: "bozo" has meant a buffoon since the days of the Bozo the Clown TV character, and "rip bozo" became the internet way of saying good riddance, first about departed rivals, then about anyone taking a public L. As an emote it caps a humiliation: the loser is gone, chat celebrates.
