Where Sadge comes from
Sadge is a member of the huge Pepe the Frog family: a drained, defeated version of the character, drawn to say "sad" without typing it. It spread through chat-emote extensions at the start of the 2020s and became one of the default ways to look disappointed on Twitch and Kick.

How do I get the Sadge emote on Twitch?
Sadge is a 7TV emote. Install the 7TV browser extension, log in on 7tv.app, search "Sadge" and add it to your personal emote set. It then displays in Twitch chat wherever 7TV is enabled.
What does Sadge mean in chat?
It means mild, resigned sadness: a missed opportunity, cancelled plans, a favourite player eliminated. The French translation would simply be "triste", with a sigh.
